Facility Condition Assessment & Master Plan

In early 2017, FOS began development of a facility condition assessment (FCA) for University of Cincinnati Health. Their need for greater oversight, maintenance cost improvements, superior reporting capability, and an overall better experience for owners and facility managers resulted in our recommendations following the FCA that led to a master plan provided by CannonDesign.

A guiding principal within FOS is an unwavering focus to complete our work on time, on budget, with a commitment to exceeding the needs and goals of our clients. Our success is measured by delivering useful and meaningful solutions that have a positive impact on the stakeholders they serve. This FCA and master plan helped UCH prioritize capital improvement plans based on available funding.

Thanks for all your great work...the impact can not be understated. Your leading our team through the process and end result was exactly what I had hoped.
— Robert Feldbauer, AVP Facilities, University of Cincinnati Health

Today’s healthcare facilities should be functional environments where capital improvement plans are ever-present. As a team of experienced assessors, the technical skills we bring to projects help us fuel our clients to manage effective spaces for their people.

Five years ago UCH had a bad brand reputation. As the only level 1 trauma center in the city, their unique patient population influences that perception. Our comprehensive plan using a variety of CannonDesign specialties allowed us to work with UCH on re-branding and re-establishing themselves in the community.

Today’s healthcare facilities should be functional environments where master plans are ever-present. As a team of experienced assessors, the technical skills we bring to projects help us fuel our clients to manage effective spaces for their people.

“Quite simply, this project had a ton of old equipment that

hadn’t been maintained. I believe healthcare facilities

thrive when we make important connections- like how

properly maintaining your electrical equipment affects

how doctors can do their jobs. My philosophy: Do the right

thing. Make things better.”

- Randy Heim, FOS Project Manager
