FOS Emerging Leader - Mike Carroll

April 11, 2022

Hats off to Mike Carroll! FOS’s new Senior Project Manager! The following announcement is written by FOS President, Joe Cassata:

Mike Carroll Promotion Announcement

I am happy to announce that Mike Carroll has accepted the role of Senior Project Manager for FOS! Mike has always used the expression, “Clear your mind and your behind will follow,” from a song by American funk rock band Funkadelic. Just as that album was meant to bridge rock and funk music, Mike bridges the gap between boots-on-the-ground client representatives and FOS facility assessment teams.

Mike spent over 25 years of his career in the oil and gas industry. In 2017 he decided to change it up and tried his hand in healthcare. Quickly realizing that was not the path for him, Mike contacted his veteran employment representative to seek advice for another career change. When Mike was sent the job posting for FOS he was skeptical, but at the suggestion of his veteran rep Mike printed out the advertisement and highlighted anything that matched his background. After this task was complete, the abundance of yellow across the document made it clear to Mike he may be more of a fit for FOS than he realized. Since joining us in 2018, Mike has been a positive force while engaging clients, strengthening our field teams, and setting FOS on a trajectory for success.

With the innate ability to mentor and coach those around him, Mike has challenged the FOS team to be the best form of themselves. In his new role, Mike will be presented with even more opportunities to expand on those leadership skills. When I asked Mike how he felt he’d continue to make an impact on FOS and our clients he said, “I look forward to being able to directly help our clients to not only achieve but surpass their goals, which I’ve seen our products influence first-hand.”

Mike has spent years as a baseball coach – first when his son was growing up and now with his 11-year-old grandson. Spending time with family is the most important part of his life, whether that’s hunting, fishing, golfing, or just relaxing by the hot tub at home. Mike says “don’t forget to include my wife in that formula… I could have done without my kids, but I would not have made it to the grandkids.”

In the four years he’s been with FOS, Mike has been a huge asset to me, our team, and our clients. His integrity and passion for helping people is just one reason I’m extremely grateful we brought him on board, and I am confident that his hard work and extensive talents will only push FOS further in the future.
